Peggy's First Halloween
Dear Diary,
I can hardly contain my excitement - it's my very first Halloween! As a little puppy, this holiday seems both thrilling and mysterious. I've seen the humans of the neighbourhood put up spooky decorations, and now it's finally my turn to experience this enchanting event.
My mummy have been talking about Halloween for weeks, planning our costumes and how we will celebrate. Although I don't entirely understand the concept of costumes, I can't wait to join in the fun. I've heard whispers of princesses, superheroes, and even spooky creatures, and it all sounds fascinating.
Mummy tried to make me a ghost costume out of an old sheet and put me on the doorstep but I wasn't rather confused and didn't like it.
As the sun sets and darkness creeps in, the neighbourhood transforms into a thrilling wonderland. The streets are filled with colourful lights, creepy sound effects, and the smell of yummy treats fills the air. My senses are on high alert, and my furry tail can't stop wagging.
Trick-or-treaters start knocking on our door, and my mummy would turns give out candy. I curiously peek through the crack, trying to understand what all the fuss is about. The kids are dressed in various costumes, some ghoulish and others so cute I could lick their faces! I wag my tail playfully, hoping to catch their attention and get some extra treats.
After the trick-or-treating commotion dies down, my mummy let me join them outside for a spooky walk around the neighbourhood. The streets are alive with laughter, chatter, and the sound of leaves crunching under our paws.
I can't help but be overwhelmed with joy - I'm a part of this magical celebration! Every house we pass is filled with decorations, cobwebs, and glowing pumpkins. Some even have giant inflatable monsters that try to scare me, but I'm too busy wagging my tail to be frightened.
As the night goes on, my paws become tired, but I don't want the Halloween fun to end. I've had the best time exploring the spooky atmosphere, meeting new friends (both human and canine), and indulging in the occasional treat that my mummy would sneak to me.
As we return home, I plop down on my cosy bed, exhausted but content. This Halloween has been an incredible adventure, and I can't wait for next year's celebration. Until then, I'll dream of pumpkins, treats, and howling at the moon on this special night.
Goodnight, Diary, and happy Halloween!
With love,
Peggy x

Peggy Completes Foundation Level Puppy Class
I'm so proud to say that my mummy and I have completed puppy class together!
It's been such a rewarding experience and we both worked really hard. Through the program, I have has learned valuable skills and behaviours, including basic obedience, socialization, and proper leash walking.
We practiced every week with our trainer and also worked on training at home between classes. It was exciting to see my progress and improve week after week.
Now that we've completed puppy class, we are committed to continuing regular training and socialization to help me to become a well-mannered and happy adult dog. We grateful for the valuable skills and knowledge we've gained through puppy class and look forward to continuing our journey together!
In these classes I've learned:
- Sit
- Paw
- Lay Down
- Stay
- Meet & Greet
- Basic Recall
Peggy's First Dog Show
Today I went to Large Breed Dog Rescue Annual Fun Day, where there was lots going on such as a Fun Dog Show, Charity & Welfare Stands, Raffles & Tombola's and lots of yummy food stands. I was over the moon when my human told me we were going to a dog show and I was going to take part. I had never been to one before, and I was excited to meet new dogs and show off my skills.
Best of all my cousin Sky was coming along too!
We have been working on my listing skills whilst at puppy class and my human is hoping I will listen whilst at the dog show. We practiced walking on a lead and standing still, sitting nicely and giving paw. She also took great care in grooming me, making sure my coat was silky smooth and shiny and no eye boogers!
As we arrived at the show, I couldn't help but marvel at all the different breeds and sizes of dogs milling around. Big dogs, small dogs, fluffy dogs, and sleek dogs. It was amazing!
There was lots of yummy smells and I sure had to taste a sample from every stall, made sure to help myself to a few which mummy then had to pay for! We came home with some yummy treats for at a later date and to share with Phoebe and Prue.
The first class I took part in was Best Puppy under 6 months, and I watched intently as other dogs demonstrated their skills. I tried my best to show off my good behavior, but I was still quite young and more curious about the other dogs around me.
Next, me and Sky both took part in Prettiest Bitch and neither of us won! :(
The 3rd Class we took part in was Dog/Bitch most like its Owner and we come 4th :)
Can't Wait for Paws in the Park in a few weeks and hopefully I will get some more rosettes!
Bark Soon
